Inside job eyed in looting of Army camp in Compostela »

The looting of an Army camp in Monkayo, Compostela Valley last Saturday morning has all the markings of a possible inside job, an Army official said Monday.

Lt. Col. Alfredo Soriano, Commanding Officer of 534th Engineer Combat Battalion, said initial investigations conducted by Army officers and police scene of the crime operatives (SOCO) revealed that the Camp Kalaw looting has high probabilities of an “inside job.” At least 20 M-16 rifles were allegedly lost in the incident.

“The execution was very well-planned. It could be an ‘inside job’ and not a raid, contrary to what was written in the news,” says Col Romulo P Cabantac, Commander of 52nd Engineer Brigade.
